America's Election... Foreign Effects.

And so it's wrapping up... I must say though the excitement is not as hot as it was back in 08, and the Election is less than 20 days away. We know what America wants, but what are the sentiments about the election overseas? I'll tell you this! Not much has changed. Mitt Romney has repeatedly gone overseas and been booed, because of his verbal gaffes (like calling Russia our enemy...remember that?) However, he's also gaining the support of some Arabs who felt Obama had not done enough for their autonomy. It's a mixed bag, needing more explanation which I'm sure we'll get Monday night. Oh yes! Monday night's debate is the final Presidential debate from Camp David and Foreign Affairs being Obama's strong suit, I have a feeling it will be even more entertaining than the debate last thursday. I'll be tweeting live from @zeeaffairs so follow and stay up to date.

I am really interested in in seeing this debate. The economy is an important topic, but foreign policy is next on my list. I wasn't a fan of Obama's foreign policy, however, I do not support Romney at all. He has no experience and is obviously not up to date with current foreign affairs as was evident with his Russia comment.

I agree that Romney is not up to date. The debate showed him struggling throughout. It was like trying to climb a wall of oil last night, he just didn't measure up! I'd rather work it out with Obama and some of his drawbacks on Foreign Policy than elect Romney who goes abroad and gets booed...(Now that's a shame). Thank you for posting! I'd love to see more of your comments!

I completely agree with you. Romney is just a war monger. I felt as though he just wants bragging rights as a U.S. ex-president with the biggest military. What was up with wanting to indict Ahmadinejad?? On what charges exactly?? As Mandela said it is Bush, Cheney, and Blair that need to stand trial for war crimes. I also think Netenyahu should be on that list too. These men are getting off scott free for sending innocent American troops in harms way and for the killing of thousands of innocent people in Iraq and Afghanistan. Atrocious!!!! On top of that Romney doesn't have a clue about geography!!!!! It is a true shame that as American's we have less choices for presidential candidates than we have in the toothpaste aisle!!!

Completely true. Of course Ahmadinejad was brought up. Think about it, a fear monger can only bring up issues about "the other" especially when you're speaking with Tea Party members. Speaking about diamonds in Sierra Leone won't necessarily be a sexy topic with them. What bother's me though is he ONLY focuses on these issues which means that he doesn't know the issues. It's like what was said in the debate spoof foreign policy to him IS a "foreign policy" to him. America has lost focus lately and a majority of the electorate has been so infatuated by this "ignorance is bliss" mentality that Romney could run circles around them and they still wouldn't know who he was much less him running for office. We can only hope that everyone we know goes to vote for "THE RIGHT" candidate on election day.
