Another issue with Arab's in France...when will this ever end?

French Minister of Interior, Brice Hortefeux, has been fined for making racist remarks against Arabs (mmhmm). In a speech that was made Fall of 2009, but circulated throughout the internet like wildfire. Mr. Hortefeux's remarks came while "joking" with activists of the UMP political party in Southwest France. This scandal started when someone (there's always one) said:
"Amin is a catholic, he eats pork and drinks alcohol"
Mr. Hortefeux:"Ah well that won't do at all. He doesn't match the prototype"
Another woman: "He is one of us...he is our little Arab."
Mr. Hortefeux: "We always need one. It's when there are lots of them that there are problems."

I believe France is trying to prove that its cracking down on racism. However, the court issuing a 750 euro fine ($897 dollars)is not enough to show your country's stance on the issue. There's always the good old cultural sensitivity class that publicly embarasses people who do things like this and (if France didn't want to go through the trouble) Mr. Hortefeux could always be fired...but that's juts how I feel. 750 euro's???? C'mon Mannn!!!!!
