Okay, so word is, if you send a picture of a woman giving burth in Zambia...then its porn. Hear me out:
Last year during the Nurse's strike in Zambia, a picture was taken of a woman giving birth in the back of a truck. According to BBC Africa, Chansa Kabwela, editor of the Zambia Post, sent copies of the picture to prominent individuals and womens groups. Attached to the copies was a letter calling for an end to the strike. Kabwela, who did not publish the pictures, was tried for obscenity charges, and cleared of all charges. However, her paper did an opinion peace about the court case. Prosecutors (cry babies) say the piece "may" have affected the court's ruling. Zambian court has now sentenced Kabwela to four months in prison with Hard labor, for contempt of court....Really though? Porn?? Seriously???
Note:President Banda has openly expressed the dislike of Zambia post, because of its pieces on his....corruption. Hmmmm..I'll continue to keep my ear on the ground for this one, because something tells me that its not over.
