The man who looks like he's losing his balance is the new Haitian President, Michel Martelly. Martelly is a 50 year old former pop star known as 'Sweet Micky'. Martelly, who promised that he'd build new houses in the Hatian capitol did not exchange words with Preval during the swearing in ceremony which (by the way) took place during a power outage which means if you're in Haiti you probably didn't watch this from home. This election marks a step forward for the Haitian nation which has postponed this election many times. I'm proud of them and of course, I'll be watching to see if Mr. Martelly will follow through on his promises.

Congratulations are in order to the new president and the people of Haiti. They have demonstrated that with resiliency,strong faith and tenacity, even the most negative situation canbe turned around.Haiti, the entire world is behind you and the dark times are over. Again HIP HIP HOORAY!!!
